A Wonderful and Wacky Adventure ...
In The Unreals, Donald Jeffries creates a masterpiece of genre
fiction...Jeffries' dark rants and satiric raps offer stunning
insights reminiscent of Richard Brautigan and Kurt Vonnegut. "The
Unreals" is a great read!

A fun and exciting read!
This novel grabs you from the
beginning and doesn't let go until the end. Being a reader of the
Fortean Times Magazine it was good to find a novel relating to the
stuff I like to read and even if you're not into that sort of thing
(Weird and strange tales and events) I'm sure most people will enjoy
this unusual tale and its grand adventure to the full! |

Is this heaven, or The Unreals?
The Unreals, by Donald Jeffries, is a grand fiction that has you
wondering what in the world will happen next. It combines the
adventure and comradery of The Wizard of Oz, with the mystery and
suspense of The Twilight Zone. A must read for anyone who enjoys
'unreal' adventures! |

Very Entertaining
I couldn't put this book down! The first chapter had Waldo
looking for his missing grandfather. The rest of the book was an
adventure and search for his missing grandfather. I could relate to
some of the various places where Waldo searched. Some of them were
local! I would be interested in other books by Jeffries. |

extremely entertaining
This novel is extremely entertaining! You will have no idea what
to expect as the author takes you through so many twists and turns
from events to emotions. At times it is so hilarious and then
sometimes sad. It will definitely keep you entertained through to
the end. Who'd a thought Don Jeffries could write so well?! It's
great. |

Updating Oz
A letter from your grandfather is not a tornado, but this
delightful romp into the imaginary with its cast of odd and
wonderful characters owes more than a passing 'thank you' to the old
Wizard. From one author to another: keep up the good work, and let's
hear more from you! |

You decide
Is this book an adventure story? Political satire? Fantasy? Love
story? All of these elements are contained in this story of a young
man searching for his missing grandfather...I enjoyed this book very
much, especially the way the author shoots holes in a number of
sacred cows, and his use of humor. I found myself laughing out loud
several times while reading. Overall, a very enjoyable read that I
highly recommend.

An interesting twist on
sci-fi/fantasy
'The Unreals' is not the style of book that I would normally
enjoy reading. But I found it to be well written, with a clever plot
and some very creative twists and turns that kept me interested
until the ending.

Well Worth It!
Not often does a writer manage to create a novel with a scope
that is both sweeping and specific, broad and still focused. Don
Jeffries has done exactly this with The Unreals. His story carries
readers through an array of adventures, twists of plot, unexpected
dialogue and events, and moments of redemption and angst...I applaud
Jeffries for this evidently articulate and molded novel, and
heartily recommend it to readers looking for a captivating read.
